Teeth Whitening
Many people achieve the look they’ve been dreaming of with our simple “bleaching” procedure.
What are the details of teeth whitening?
In only a few days your custom bleach trays will be ready for you to pick up. We provide you with a special bleaching agent that you put into the clear trays. Depending on the strength of the bleaching agent you choose, you will wear the trays from 30 minutes to a few hours a day at home. After a week or two of treatment the results will be apparent. When your teeth reach the desired brightness, only occasional treatment is needed to maintain your new smile. Tooth structure or existing dental work will not be harmed in any way.
Dental bleaching can be used to correct tooth discoloration in a majority of patients. Some stains do not come out with bleaching, in which case crowns or veneers can be considered. Because of the lower cost of bleaching treatments, bleaching is nearly always worth a solid try.
Key Benefits of Teeth Whitening
- Reduces many kinds of tooth staining
- Works on adults of any age
- Is a near-permanent solution for a “dull” smile, restoring brightness and bringing teeth alive.
Considerations for Teeth Whitening
Tooth-colored fillings, crowns, bridges, and veneers will not brighten with bleaching. If you are considering replacing these kinds of dental work, bleaching the teeth may be advisable beforehand so that your new crowns and fillings will match your brightened teeth. Also be aware that bleaching can cause temporary irritation to the teeth and gums. If this happens, you may need to slow down the pace of bleaching or use a bleaching agent of lower strength.
